The Faith Community Network (FCN) is a partnership between the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice and leaders of faith and community-based organizations located in high crime and otherwise distressed communities throughout Florida. These organizations emphasize faith-based approaches in assisting their youth toward developing resiliency and determination to excel in spite of the many prevalent risk factors that often lead to crime and delinquency, adolescent promiscuity, teen pregnancy, substance abuse, academic failures, and the like.

The Department recognizes and is excited about the potential synergies that will be brought to bear by engaging these organizations to network with each other, share information on best program practices, resource development, organizational development and management, and a host of other issues that often stifle organizations' effectiveness.

FCN and the Department are reaching out to forge working partnerships to ensure that moral teachings and guidance are directed into the lives of our at-risk children. Statistics, document that the issues adversely affecting children are exacerbated when children display certain risk factors that lead to delinquency.
